MuayCamp / Privacy

PRIVACY, IN PLAIN WORDS.

Your training log stays with you. Here is what the app stores, how optional features work and what happens when you contact us.

Who is responsible

MuayCamp is developed by Erim Kocak, an independent developer in the Netherlands. This policy covers the MuayCamp iPhone app and this website. For privacy questions, contact support@muaycamp.com.

We do not receive your training log through the app. We do handle information you choose to send us, such as a support email.

Your training data

The app stores sessions, dates, duration, rounds, session types, intensity, techniques, partner names you enter, notes and programme progress. Preferences include your goals, experience, equipment, reminders, timer settings and focus.

These records support your log, training summaries, programmes and coach answers. They stay in the app’s storage on your device. If iCloud is enabled, the supported training records may also sync to your own private iCloud database. We cannot browse that database or retrieve your log for you.

There is no MuayCamp account, advertising SDK, app analytics service or third-party crash-reporting service in the app.

iCloud, media and backups

Sync uses Apple’s iCloud and is subject to your Apple Account settings and Apple’s privacy policy. Some preferences and custom drills stay on the device.

Photos and video clips are stored as local files in the app’s documents folder. Their files are not synced by MuayCamp’s CloudKit integration, although references to them may sync. Media may therefore be unavailable on another device. Apple’s device backup and restore settings can separately include app files.

Photos and clips use iOS file protection. They are accessible to the app when the device is unlocked. Keep your device protected with a passcode and retain copies of media you want to keep.

Coach and voice input

The coach calculates answers from your training records on your device. On supported devices, Apple’s on-device language model may rephrase those answers. MuayCamp does not send your questions or training records to a cloud AI service.

Coach conversations are held in memory during the app session. You can clear the conversation in the chat. If you use voice input, speech recognition is required to run on the device; the feature is unavailable when local recognition is not supported. Recognised text can become your question or a session note you choose to save.

The coach describes recorded training. It does not assess technique, diagnose injury or provide medical advice.

Optional permissions

  • Camera and microphone: used when you choose to record a clip or use voice input.
  • Photos: you select which photos or videos to import using the system picker.
  • Notifications: optional training reminders are scheduled locally using your logged training pattern.
  • Apple Health: if Health export is available in your build and you enable it, the iPhone app requests permission to write workouts. It does not request permission to read your health records.

You can change permissions in iOS Settings, and Health permissions in the Health app. Refusing an optional permission does not prevent you from using the rest of the logbook.

Purchases and external links

MuayCamp is a paid download from the App Store. Apple processes the app purchase, payment details, downloads and refunds under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your card details. Apple may provide the developer with sales and financial reports under its developer services.

Technique pages can open a YouTube search in your browser or the YouTube app. YouTube is not embedded in MuayCamp. Once you follow an external link, that service’s own privacy practices apply.

This website and support

This website does not include advertising, visitor analytics, tracking pixels or third-party fonts. It does not set marketing cookies. The hosting service processes technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the site. A private preview may also require the hosting provider’s sign-in and related essential storage.

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you send. The support address may forward the message to the developer’s mailbox. We use these details to answer you and investigate the issue. Avoid sending sensitive training, medical or payment information unless needed for your request.

Hosting and email providers process information as needed to provide their services. They may operate outside your country. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Your training records remain until you delete them. You can edit or delete sessions in the app and export a CSV copy through Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data; it does not necessarily remove an iCloud copy or device backup. Manage those separately in your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence that is no longer needed. Technical log and backup retention is controlled by the relevant hosting, email or Apple service.

Your choices and rights

For support correspondence and website operation, processing is based on the legitimate interests of answering requests and running a secure service, or on handling a service request or legal obligation where applicable.

You can request access to, correction or deletion of personal information held by the developer, and object to or request restriction of processing where applicable. Contact support@muaycamp.com. These requests concern information we actually hold; we cannot access training records stored only on your devices or in your private iCloud.

You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Children and policy changes

MuayCamp is a training tool for a contact sport and is not designed specifically for children. We do not intentionally solicit children’s personal information through this website.

If our practices change, this page will be updated and its date revised. Changes to app permissions are presented through the relevant in-app or iOS permission controls.
